About Nutraim
A cleaner way to understand what you eat and what your body needs
Nutraim is designed to make everyday nutrition easier to understand without turning health tracking into noise. The product tries to keep recommendations practical, show where estimates come from, and avoid presenting uncertain data as if it were exact truth.
How we estimate your goals
Your calorie and macro goals are estimated from your age, sex, height, weight, activity level, and goal. The current adult-safe engine uses a basal metabolic rate equation, activity-adjusted daily energy estimation, conservative calorie changes for weight loss or muscle gain, macro range guardrails, and baseline hydration, fiber, and micronutrient targets.
We intentionally prefer safer and more conservative estimates over aggressive targets. This helps reduce the risk of over-restrictive calorie goals, unrealistic macro splits, or misleading hydration targets.
How we estimate food responses
When you log a food, the system first tries to match it with trusted food references. If the food is a mixed dish, the system may combine verified ingredient references and reviewed recipe logic. AI is used only to understand unclear wording or break down an ambiguous food description when local trusted matching is not enough.
We do not let AI act as the final nutrition source of truth. The final preview is built from trusted references, reviewed templates, or clearly marked estimates.
What we make sure of
- Profile inputs are validated before they affect your nutrition goals.
- Server-side logic handles sensitive calculations, session state, and data writes.
- Food suggestions are matched against valid results only, not empty placeholders.
- Trusted references are preferred before any AI-assisted interpretation is attempted.
- Ambiguous foods can be clarified instead of forcing false precision.
Restrictions and limits
Nutraim is not a medical diagnosis platform and does not replace advice from a doctor, registered dietitian, or clinical specialist. Some foods may still require estimation when exact portion size, recipe variation, fortification status, or source coverage is incomplete.
The current adult plan logic is intended for general healthy adults. Pregnancy, lactation, kidney disease, liver disease, thyroid conditions, medication-linked restrictions, and athletic performance planning need more specific medical or professional guidance.
Data assurance and privacy
Sensitive processing stays on the server. Private keys, internal prompts, hidden code, and secure signing details are not exposed in the user interface. The product is designed so that people see understandable health information, not internal system mechanics.
We aim to keep recommendations transparent, store only what is needed for the user experience, and avoid showing fake certainty where source coverage is incomplete.
Our goal and long-term aim
The long-term aim is to build a nutrition companion that feels human, fast, and trustworthy. It should help people log meals with less friction, understand nutritional patterns more clearly, and make better daily food decisions without drowning them in technical language or clutter.
